Councilor Lederman Appointed Chair of COVID-19 Response Committee

Springfield City Council President Marcus Williams released 2021 Committee Assignments on Wednesday, naming At-Large Springfield City Councilor Jesse Lederman as Chair of a new ad-hoc committee on COVID-19 Response.

The Ad-Hoc COVID-19 Response Committee will work collaboratively with government and community organizations to address issues pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I look forward to continuing to work together with all levels of government, community residents and organizations to ensure that Springfield receives our fair share of resources and that the community is protected, informed, and involved as we combat the COVID-19 pandemic, and recover from the impact that it has had on every facet of our society," said Councilor Lederman.

Councilor Lederman was also named Chair of the City Council Committee on Health and Human Services, a position he previously held in 2018 and 2019, and as Chair of the Committee on Sustainability and Environment, a position he has held since 2019. In addition, Councilor Lederman will serve as a member of the maintenance and development committee.
