Councilor Lederman Convenes COVID-19 Response Committee Meeting on Food Security

City Councilor Jesse Lederman, Chairman of the City Council's COVID-19 Response Sub-Committee, convened the weekly meeting of the Committee on Tuesday, January 26.

Councilors were briefed by HHS Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris and discussed ongoing concerns regarding vaccine distribution. Following the weekly briefing, the Committee met with representatives from the Western Massachusetts Food Bank, Springfield Public Schools, and the Springfield Department of Elder Affairs to discuss available resources for individuals and families struggling with food security during the pandemic.
