Councilor Lederman Visits Martin Luther King Jr. Family Services Food Pantry
At-Large Springfield City Councilor Jesse Lederman visited the Martin Luther King Jr. Family Services Food Pantry today where he joined staff and volunteers in distributing food and learned more about the MLK Food Pantry's operations.
The MLK Food Pantry serves more than 400 families and has maintained operations throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
"The Martin Luther King Jr. Family Services Food Pantry has been a vital resource in ensuring food security for neighbors in need," said Councilor Lederman "Especially now in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic the pantry staff and volunteers have innovated to continue meeting that need. It's neighbors helping neighbors, and we should lift up and celebrate that now more than ever."
